Who is bearpacking?

I’m a bloke in his late twenties who likes getting out and about, and sometimes staying in and fawning over new gear. As a North East local one thing I do have is access to great locations within a couple of hours in most directions. I’m not a hugely experienced, long distance hiker; I’m just building up the miles at my own pace and trying to enjoy it all. Most of the time I head out with my mates Michael, Sean and Steve but I don’t mind wandering into the woods alone now and again. The aim of the blog is to document some of my trips and wild camps whilst highlighting some of the highs and lows of my ever expanding gear collection.

Anywho, I’ll save my rambling for the posts. If you have questions give me a shout on twitter at @rcbprk or leave a comment
