The date was 15 September 2012, the place was Coniston in the Lake District and the people were massively hungover. We planned to tick another hill off the Trail 1oo in the shape of Coniston Old Man. Since mqhiker has already written a belter of a trip report – here’s our day in photos.

We had to leave a man behind but we irresponsibly ploughed on

Taking a break by Low Water

The wind was going for it at the summit. Sean turned an ankle just after this photo.

Coniston Water

Sean’s cream trousers of power. Good choice George Michael.

Rob, prepared for anything in the new Rab Atari hooded waterproof.

It wasn’t a long walk, but it was the best hangover cure out there. Although we lost one man and brought an injured one home it was quite a nice wander that was quite steep in places and really interesting due to the large amount of industrial scarring. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area.
